Why is there a rivlery between Mayhem and Midnight? When did it begin? I always thought it strange that they even cared about the other. Maybe that just me.

... Actually, I don't think that there is so much a big rivalry between New Midnight and New Mayhem (at least not visably). They don't much care for each other, but Jaguar is (and has been) lying low, so that New Mayhem doesn't come in and burn down Midnight again (though, just as a disclaimer, they were never 'officially' linked with the first burning).

Why they have traditionally been rivals kind of has to do with conflicting beliefs, lines, forms of ruling, slavery vs. non-slave... it's a fairly long list.

Wait a sec, Nathaniel burnt down Midnight and Kaei burnt down Mayhem. Mayhem and Midnight have nothing to do with eachother except for the fact that they are against eachothers rules.

Not quite; I believe that Nathaniel was one of the people who burned down Midnight. He had help. (I think; I may be wrong).

Yes, Kaei burned down Mayhem. Mayhem thought it was Midnight (though it wasn't) who had done that and so, one hundred years later exactly, Midnight burned down.

However, let me say again that Mayhem was never offically linked.

And yes, it was more then one person who burned down Midnight.
